Self-referential content

Since I haven't written anything about myself here yet, I thought I'd give it a shot.

meIn case you missed the byline, name is Laura. I'm heading up a start-up interactive media company, which takes up much of my time. When I'm not sitting at a keyboard, staring at one computer screen or another -- or looking at the television -- I'm walking or shopping or taking photographs.

Right now I'm working on a couple of big projects, neither of which is announced yet. One is a Drupal-powered website that will be an information clearing house for a relatively new international organization. The other is a DVD production and authoring project that involves some 5-6 hours of edited instructional footage of a martial art as taught by the grandmaster of the art. The web development is just getting under way; the DVD project is moving into the final phase. Because of the relative scopes of the projects, they'll probably come to completion within a month of each other. I'll post more on these projects later.

I suppose what's pretty clear is that I'm not comfortable talking about myself. Maybe it's the trying to tread the thin line between brag-blogging and pointless, pathetic self-deprecation. At least hardly anybody's actually reading this. At least there's that.

I'm a new reader of your blog-- so assuming that's meant literally... hang in there. You have good style, design, and good content... You've made my list of dailies... although that's not saying a whole lot, since I don't have a huge list... Although maybe that's saying more, since I *don't* have a huge list...

(But, I'm a nobody out there, so... not saying much at all after all, I'm afraid... Dang! ;-) )

Welcome!

I appreciate receiving all feedback from my reader. Thanks for the encouragement!

We're out here. It's kinda funny, I've stumbled across you twice now. The first time I was googling to find out what people were saying about Drupal outside of drupal.org, and I ran across pingv.com. More recently, a search for info about doing css-only layout in Drupal brought me to this site. I've found your comments interesting enough to add both to my bloglines feeds, but since your posts show up there in their entirety, I don't always visit the site unless I want to read the comments. (Gee, how's that for separating content from design.)

Oh my

That's a good argument for me to start RSSing only teasers. I will say, though, that Planet Drupal only aggregates posts from here that are tagged Drupal, so if you count on that you'll miss my non-Drupal-related pith.

But I'm really glad you stop by ... and thrilled that the site is showing up on search engines.

I hope my ramblings make all of it worthwhile.
